A professor of public international law and president of Taiz University, he is one of Yemen's most prominent academics, combining scholarly contributions with university administration. He has held several leadership positions in higher education institutions, including Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Gulf of Aden International University, founder and president of the International University, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aden Educational Company. His academic and scientific contributions span more than three decades in teaching, research, and supervision. He has authored books and specialized research papers on international law, human rights, and university development, in addition to his contributions to developing legal curricula and his participation in conferences and workshops both within Yemen and abroad in the fields of international law, human rights, and university development. He is also considered a leading national figure in leadership and institutional development, a certified trainer in international humanitarian law and human rights, and his contributions extend to the fields of culture and community work through his chairmanship of several scientific, developmental, and charitable institutions, and his support for academic and youth initiatives that serve education and development in the country.
