ما يُعرف بـ حق النقض أو #الفيتو لم يكن يومًا حقًا حقيقيًا، بل هو امتياز استثنائي وجائر فُرض على النظام الدولي ليمنح خمس دول فقط سلطة تعطيل إرادة العالم بأسره. هذا الامتياز لا يستند إلى أي منطق للعدالة أو مبادئ المساواة بين الدول، بل يقوم على ميزان قوى مختل يكرس الهيمنة ويقوض تطلعات الشعوب نحو الأمن والسلام. ومن منطلق حرصها على الحقوق والقانون والعدالة الدولية، تؤكد منصة اعرف حقك وقانونك أن هذا الامتياز تحول من أداة يُفترض بها حماية السلم الدولي إلى أداة لتكميم صوت العدالة، ومنصة لتوفير مظلة سياسية لمرتكبي الجرائم وشرعنة الحروب والنزاعات، حتى غدا مجلس الأمن، بدل أن يكون حصنًا للأمن الجماعي، رهينة لمصالح ضيقة تتحكم فيها حسابات الدول الكبرى، حيث تُدار القضايا المصيرية بمنطق الربح والخسارة لا بمنطق الإنسانية وحقوق الإنسان.إن استمرار العمل بالفيتو بصورته الحالية يشكل جريمة صامتة بحق الإنسانية ووصمة عار في جبين القانون الدولي، فلا يمكن الحديث عن نظام عالمي عادل بينما تُترك مصائر الدول والشعوب وحقوق الضحايا وقرارات الحرب والسلم تحت رحمة خمس دول فقط، ويُقبل أن تُجهض قرارات الأغلبية الدولية لمجرد اعتراض دولة واحدة، مهما كانت دوافعها أو مصالحها. ومن هذا المنطلق، تؤكد منصة اعرف حقك وقانونك أن إلغاء الفيتو أو تقييده لم يعد مطلبًا إصلاحيًا ثانويًا، بل أصبح ضرورة وجودية لإنقاذ ما تبقى من مصداقية النظام الدولي، فالعالم بحاجة إلى منظومة تحكمها القوانين لا المصالح، وتُصان فيها كرامة الإنسان لا تُباع في صفقات النفوذ، فالعدالة لا تُؤجل والحق لا يُقهر إلا إذا استمر هذا الظلم الممنهج الذي يجعل من مجلس الأمن أداة تعطيل لا أداة حماية.لقد آن الأوان لإعادة النظر في بنية هذا المجلس، ولإسقاط هذا الامتياز الذي يكرس الاستبداد الدولي، فإرادة الدول والشعوب لا يجب أن تُختطف، والعدالة لا يجب أن تُقايض، والسلام لا يجب أن يُؤجل. ويبدأ إصلاح مجلس الأمن من كسر احتكار الفيتو وإعادة السلطة والقرار إلى جميع الدول الأعضاء في الأمم المتحدة لا إلى الدول التي نصبت نفسها أوصياء على العالم، لتعود الأمم المتحدة إلى دورها الحقيقي كحامية للحقوق والعدالة، ولتصبح العدالة الدولية واقعًا ملموسًا لا شعارًا بلا مضمون.

What is known as the right of veto has never been a true right; it is an extraordinary and unjust privilege imposed on the international system, granting only five countries the power to override the will of the entire world. This privilege is not based on any logic of justice or principles of equality among nations; rather, it rests on a distorted balance of power that perpetuates dominance and undermines the aspirations of nations and peoples for security and peace. From the standpoint of its commitment to rights, law, and international justice, the platform "Know Your Rights and Law" emphasizes that this privilege has transformed from a tool meant to protect international peace into an instrument to stifle justice, providing political cover for perpetrators of crimes and legitimizing wars and conflicts. Instead of being a fortress for collective security, the Security Council has become a hostage to narrow interests, where critical issues are managed according to calculations of profit and loss rather than humanity and human rights.The continued use of the veto in its current form constitutes a silent crime against humanity and a stain on the face of international law. It is impossible to speak of a just global system while the fates of states and peoples, the rights of victims, and decisions of war and peace remain at the mercy of just five countries, and while decisions of the international majority can be nullified by the objection of a single state, regardless of its motives or interests. From this perspective, "Know Your Rights and Law" asserts that abolishing or limiting the veto is no longer a minor reform demand but a vital necessity to restore the credibility of the international system. The world needs a system governed by laws, not interests, where human dignity is protected, not sold in deals of influence, for justice cannot be postponed and rights cannot be suppressed if this systematic injustice that turns the Security Council into a tool of obstruction continues.The time has come to reconsider the structure of this Council and eliminate this privilege that entrenches international domination. The will of nations and peoples must not be hijacked, justice must not be bargained, and peace must not be postponed. Reforming the Security Council begins with breaking the monopoly of the veto and restoring authority and decision-making to all member states of the United Nations, not to the states that have appointed themselves as guardians of the world, allowing the UN to reclaim its true role as a protector of rights and justice, and making international justice a tangible reality, not an empty slogan
